Yes TTD Jewellery is lost: Singhal

Singhal the TTD Executive officer today clarified that Jewellery amounting to Rs 8 lakhs has been lost from the treasury and some excess Jewellery was also found. He said that an enquiry was already ordered in this connection and the recovery was also made from the salary of then JEO.

A silver Kireetam and two rings were lost from the Treasury Singhal agreed. At the same time, two necklaces with ordinary stones were also found in excess in the treasury.

The officials do not know if the excess jewellery belonged to the TTD or not. If not who has mixed them in the treasury is the question.

It may be recalled that there was a theft of lords dollars here at the TTD and the same responsibility was fixed on Seshadri the priest and now he is popular as Dollar Seshadri.

Dollar Seshadri was removed from the service for some time and then he was reinstated and has been getting extensions one after the other. Seasahdri is seen in the media all the time when the VVIPs come for darshan.

He has got a lot of clout with the VIPs. There was a lot of controversy about TTD jewellery for a long time. The jewellery was assessed during the YS Rajasekhar Reddy regime. But after that several other allegations have come up.

The latest allegation was made by the former Head Priest Ramana Deekshitulu and now it is agreed upon by EO Singhal. There were also rumours that a treasure which was under the TTD Potu that is kitchen was dug and that the gold and jewels were looted. Now an enquiry is going on about siphoning of funds by the TTD staff in Delhi. An enquiry is going on.

So far the Chairman and Special officer are calling the shots. There are no board members to the TTD under the new regime of YSRC.
