On the occasion of Bathukamma festival, Hon’ble Governor Tamilisai Soundarrajan greeted the people of Telangana. She said “I have great pleasure to convey my warm greetings to people of Telangana, especially the women on the auspicious occasion of Bathukamma Festival.
Bathukamma festival symbolises the cultural spirit of Telangana. Bathukamma is characterized by the gathering of flowers and different unique floral arrangements.
Flowers like gunugu poolu, tangedu poolu and other flowers like banti, chamanti, nandivardhanam etc., are arranged in beautiful patterns. The worship of Goddess for prosperity, good health and for the fulfillment of desires is unique because of its association with flowers.
I wish the people of Telangana a happy and joyous Bathukamma Festival”. Meanwhile the Bathukamma will be starting today across the state.
