The GHMC has received several complaints from the Banjarahills and the jubilee hills areas that clubs and pubs were being run in the residential areas.
The local residents and welfare associations are unable to understand as to how they got permission to run the clubs and pubs in the residential areas.
bars and restaurants are being run in a big way in a commercial way. Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan agreed that they have received the complaints and then would act on it immediately.
Now due to lockdown, they are closed and the people are happy about it. The Police say that they can restrict the sound only. Some residents have gone to the court over the commercial joints being run in the residential areas.
But the people running these commercial joints are able to continue with their business. Once the lockdown is over, then the clubs and pubs will be opened.
Aprt from pubs and clubs, commercial ventures like saree shops, jewellery shops and food joints are also being located. The Government departments are just diverting the issue from one department to the other.
