Ministers at Medaram Jathara

Minister for Endowments Allola Indrakaran Reddy and Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav today visited the Sammkka Saralamma Jathara here at Medaram.

Apart from overseeing the arrangements here for the Chief Minister KCR and Governor Tamilisai, they also had the darshan of Ammavari gadde here.

They also offered the Tulabharam with Jagerry being called as Bangaram in Telugu. Both the Ministers walked wiht great difficulty to Gadde as it was surrounded by the balls of jaggery of various sizes.
The Minsters were given the traffic police helmets for the protection of their heads so that they would not be hit by the pilgrims with the jaggery. There is a tradition of hurling the jaggery balls to the gadde of Ammavari as the offerings.

Tonnes of Jaggery was hurled at the Gaddes of Ammavaru which would later collect some part of it would go as Prasadam to the pilgrims. This year the number of pilgrims is also increasing apart from the offerings.

The chief Minster and the Governor are expected to take part in the Medaram Jatharam on 7nth apart from the union Minster for Trial welfare. The police are taking all precaution for the budburst as three VVIPs are coming to Medaram.

The police had a tough time keeping the pilgrims away from the Ministers. The Ministers also had a visit to the Jampanna Baagu where the people were taking the traditional dip while the youth and children were enjoying the swimming.

The water turned murky as pilgrims overflowed to take the holy dip here at the Jampanna Vaagu.
