The flood situation is becoming worst in Maharashtra. Mumbai is still getting rains and we can see people wading through knee-deep waters. Earlier suicides of farmers were reported in Maharashtra and now deaths are being reported because of the rains and floods.

The water from Maharashtra is being let out to Karnataka and also Telangana areas. The lakes and canals of Telangana apart from the irrigation projects are becoming full up to the brim. Water from some projects is being let out of the dams to the low lying areas and also into other areas.

Lakhs of people are being evacuated from the low-lying areas of Maharashtra. The National disaster response force is also working in case of an emergency.

K Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana has visited the barrages under Kalehwaram project and is happy that the water is flowing at a stretch of about 150 kilometres.

His vision has become finally true and vast stretches of land now will come under irrigation. Yediyurappa the CM of Karnataka has written to the CM Fadnavis regarding water being let out into his state and that people in low lying areas were put to hardships. Teams of Navy and Army apart from the NDRF are working for the evacuation and rescue operations here in Maharashtra.

The situation of more floods cannot be ruled out in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and also Andhra Pradesh. The people living into the low lying areas have been warned and most of them have been evacuated.

Right now the inflows of water are coming into the reservoirs that cater water to Hyderabad. Singur is one of them. There should be no water problem for the next two years to come it looks like.
