Launch of community CCTV Cameras

As a part of expanding Community CCTV cameras network across Rachakonda Commissionerate, today Minister of Labour and Empowerment, Women and Child Development, Sri Ch.Malla Reddy, Rachakonda CP Sri Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, has inaugurated Cameras 60 Community CC Cameras installed in 8 colonies of Peerzadiguda Municipality area. (Sai Aishawarya Colony, Sai Priya Colony, Satyanarayanapuram Colony, Gokul Nagar Road, Paravathapur Village Main Road, Gandhi Nagar Colony Road, Sri Rama RTC Colony, Vishnupuri Enclave). The Total cost of the Project is Rs.12,17,000/- and the vendor is Guru Communications, owner Mohd Adil. The CCTV Cameras were installed by following the Minimum standard Technical Specifications required under law.

These cameras were installed at strategic locations covering the entry and exits, main routes and crime prone areas of the localities. Till date 354 Community CC Cameras and 5420 Nenu Saitham Cameras have been installed in the limits of Medipally Police station. Further in the recent past three snatching cases, a house burglary and another robbery cases were detected based CCTV footages and recovered property. CCTV Cameras installed recently in many colonies under Boduppal, Peerzadigud municipal areas.

Addressing the gathering on the inaugural ceremony, the chief guest Malla Reddy has said.. It was a great initiative where the citizens with the help of police have taken initiative for security of the people living in the area. Community CCTV cameras play vital role in day to day policing and they are very helpful in detection of many crimes and that speeds up the investigation process too.

The CCTV cameras helps the police in identifying people participating in the crime, their role and style of committing the offence, which makes investigation even more easier, and justice can be delivered fastly.

Ministers asks public to join hands for Safer Rachakonda and appealed the local public representatives to take initiative and ensure installation more cameras to stand the Boduppal and Pheerzadiguda municipal bodies at top position in the state.
