The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has inaugurated the Telangana Fores Konda Laxman Bapuji Horticulture University constructed at Mulugu here today.The Ministers and officials also participated in the launch program.
The state government in Tamil Nadu had set up a Forest College and Research Institute at Mettupalayam and every year about 120 students get selected for the Indian Forest Service from there.
Taking this as an inspiration, the Telangana State government had set up in 2016 Telangana Forest College and Research Institute for the benefit of the students.
For this college at Mulugu a building complex was constructed with a sprawling campus. The CM will inaugurate the building complex and campus.
A Horticulture University was also established for the development of horticulture and research in Telangana State.
