BJP which has got a huge majority in the recent elections is now concentrating on the South. It is operating in the Telugu states and also at Karnataka, Goa and West Bengal.
While the Karnataka drama is going on, the West Bengal operation has already started. Local MLAs say that more than 100 MLAs from the ruling party that is TMC are now in touch with the BJP. It may be noted that PM Narendra Modi in his election campaign has announced that 42 MLAs from Didi are in touch with him. Now the number has raised to 107.
When it comes to Telugu states, the BJP has poached 4 MPs from the TDP and today Ram Madhav is conducting a meeting in Guntur for the future of BJP. It looks like the TDP will be marginalised and they will join the BJP.
The BJP at the higher level has decided to maintain equal distance with the AP and the Telangana Governments. Ram Madhav and Muralidhar Rao are the key leaders operating in the Telugu states and also across the South.
It is almost like grabbing the power from the other political parties. People have not expected the BJP to operate in this fashion. But this is very common in modern politics. Power is the ultimate target.
