The people of Maharashtra and Haryana have put the BJP on notice it looks like. The BJP is almost on the border and the few seats this side or that side would have made a lot of difference to the ruling party.
For the time being the Shiv Sena and the BJP are together, but we do not what happens in the near future. The Congress has done well in Haryana we can say. But it is difficult for the Congress right now.
Chautala becomes the Kingmaker at this point in time. But it is not difficult for the BJP to form the Government in Maharashtra and also Haryana. The ShivSena has improved when compared to the BJP in Maharashtra.
The BJP has got fewer seats in Maharashtra. It is 19 seats less when compared to the last time elections. It’s 165 when the BJP and Sena come together while it is 93 when he NCP and Congress come together.
It’s definitely a setback to the BJP in both the states. They are at a twilight zone here in both the states.
The Sena is at a stage where it can flex its muscles and bargain with the BJP here in Maharashtra. If the Congress could have worked in unity they could have given a better performance here in Haryana.
There is some dissatisfaction against the BJP in both the states. It’s like the opposition is slowly rising in the country. It is like a wake-up call for the BJP. The exit polls predicted that the BJP will have a clean sweep.
But the people decided in a different manner altogether.
The BJP went the whole hog in Maharashtra and Haryana. It goes like the saying in Politics everything is possible. In half a day things change for the political party. You have to fight till the last breath that is the lesson, these elections have given to the political parties.
