Some Office-goers and workers today ditched auto-rickshaws and cabs and hopped on to the new metro train at the newly-launched Metro corridor, which runs at a stretch of 30 kilometres from Nagole.
While maximum passengers went for a joy ride, commuters headed to different metro stations and waiting in line for the scheduled service.Most of the service the first working day following its inauguration yesterday by PM Modi.
The count of senior citizens and students though remained low with lifts not yet operational in many Metro stations and no concessional passes for students.
While this service comes as a huge relief for commuters, woes over inadequate parking space in Metro station and feeder services continue.
