For the 1st time in BITS Pilani, there was a Throwball federation of India exhibition match against BITS players and the U.A.E All star team. The players of the federation are from different parts of India and frequently represent India in international tournaments.
The event was hosted by the Sports Club of BITS Pilani, Dubai with guidance from Dr. M. Rafiuddin (Senior manager – Student services). The event had large crowds from both BITS Pilani and Students from outside.
The event was graced by chief guest Dr.Prof. R.N. Saha (Director of Bits Pilani, Dubai Campus), and esteemed Dr. Priti Bajpai (Dean of student welfare).
The first match was between the BITS Pilani Girls team and Throwball Federation of India Girls team.
The crowd was electric with the tension high; both teams playing to win the exhibition match showing competition on par with BITS SPORTS FESTIVAL, and the rallies were highly contested. The crowd cheering for both teams.
The second match was between U.A.E Universities All-star team and the Throwball Federation of India Girls team.
The U.A.E All-star team comprised of players from BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus and Manipal University, Dubai. The All-star team had great support from the crowd and gave a tough fight to the Throwball Federation India Girls Team.

K.Asha R.Nitika S.In all, the 1st International Invitational Throwball Girls Match was a massive success not only from the point of view of encouraging Sports but, served as a great reminder that BITS SPORTS FESTIVAL 2019 will be a massive success.
