After traffic police now the GHMC has introduced the e-challan concept in Hyderabad. Perhaps we the first GHMC in the country to introduce the e-challan concept where the challan or fine is generated automatically.
This is for the Swachchata. To keep the city clean from the construction debris and also the regular garbage. Once the challan is generated no one can take it back.
GHMC is using the technology to see that the city is maintained in a clean form said Bonthu Rammohan the Mayor of the city. Using the technology here will no escape for the people who dump the debris and also the garbage he said.
The central enforcement wing of the GHMC is taking responsibility for this e-challans. So far about one and a half crore has been collected by the central wing by way of e-challans the Mayor explained.
This is to maintain transparency from the department side and also to keep the city clean and green he said.
Several other innovative methods are being introduced to keep the city clean by way of using the latest technology he said.
The people must also participate and co-operate in keeping the city clean he suggested.
