CS Somesh directs Collectors

Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary to Government of Telangana directed District Collectors to take all measures to contain the spread of the virus to protect and safeguard the public in the districts.

Chief Secretary held a video conference with the District Collectors on containment clusters, Govt. quarantine, surveillance of home quarantine and migrant workers relief in the districts.

Chief Secretary advised all the district collectors that every household in the containment clusters have to be checked twice on a daily bases and any suspect cases should immediately be referred for treatment.

Chief Secretary instructed to strictly ensure that no person is allowed to move freely in barricaded area. He asked them to ensure that disinfectant is spread twice daily in the containment areas.

He said that any foreign returnees or persons belonging to other states, who do not have homes, should be allowed to stay in Govt. quarantine. He said that any violation by home quarantine persons has to be dealt with strictly.

He also asked them to ensure that essential commodities are delivered at the doorsteps of the people in containment clusters. He said that surveillance of local teams is more important particularly for home quarantine persons. He asked district collectors to arrange control room and also publish pamphlets in local languages with instructions to follow during this period.
