Concentrate on exports suggests Modi

The states should focus on export development suggested Prime Minister today at the NITI Ayog meet heled in Rashtra Bhavan. Modi said that the politics were over and the states must concentrate on development hereafter. By 2024 India should be a 5 trillion economy Modi suggested.The meeting is scheduled to continue till 8 PM in the night and later a dinner he hosted by the PM to the guests.

The PM suggested that the newly created Jala Shakti Ministry would tackle the drought situation in a befitting manner. Some of the states raised the issue of Special status to their states. The crisis in agriculture and also the Maoists issue was high on the agenda here at the NITI meet. The export sector plays a vital role in boosting the economy and employment of the state the Prime Minister stated.

The states should know their own core competence and work for rising in the GDP Modi suggested. water conservation is the other area where all the states should work together he said. Piped water should reach every home by 2024 he stated.TB should be wiped out by 2025 he stated.
