Chandrayaan 2- Might take weeks or months

Now that the Chandrayan 2 launch has been put off just before an hour last night, ISRO chief Sivan said that except for a technical snag all other things were in place.

There is a possibility that the new launch date could be in a week or two. There is also a possibility that it might take some months for the new date for the said launch.

The Chandrayaan launch has attracted worldwide attention and the President of India was present for the launch function at Sriharikota last night. But it was aborted just one hour before the stipulated time.

The made in India project costed around 1000 crore. The cost is very less when compared with the other countries and also agencies like NASA.

Chandrayaan was supposed to travel a distance of 3.84 lakh kilometres journey.

It is weighing about 3.8 lakh tonne. The spacecraft has an orbiter, lander and a rover. The spacecraft was supposed to land on the moon after 54 days as per schedule.

Now the scientists are working to see that the launch would be done at the earliest.
