The movie Mohenjo Daro  failed to make a mark with the audience it is reported. It is like Ok and fifty fifty according to the reviews in major media .

Filmibeatwhich rated the film as 2.5 out of 5, says in its review, “The film takes you back all the way to 2016 BC and will make you believe that whatever is shown on screen is so damn true. Such is the charismatic work of the film-maker and kudos to him for pulling off such a spectacular feat. The camera angles focus on every inch of the city and its all woven together really well.”

A review on PressKS.com points out that the film’s action sequence, climax, music and the picturisation are its positives, while the dragging story with few loopholes to be its negatives. They have rated the film as 3.5 out of 5.

International Business Times says, “Hrithik has delivered an excellent performance in Mohenjo Daro and has once again impressed the audience with his power-packed action stunts. Pooja, who is making her debut in Bollywood, has done justice to her role. Other supporting artistes are also assets of the movie.

Sneha May Francis in her review for Emirates247.com says, “The leading lady is given a headgear loaded with feathers, almost making her look like a pretty bird on the go. It wouldn’t have mattered as much, and could’ve been overlooked as creative liberty, but there’s a distinct disconnect in this costume drama. Animal headgears appear during songs, but disappears soon enough. You hope there will be more drama and depth, and possibly insight into the civilization, but nothing unfolds over the two-and-a-half-screen time.”

She further adds, “What’s even more dampening is the story, which is so archaic in tone and texture that it leaves us detached and thoroughly bored.”An IANS report suggests that the film has already managed to recover Rs 60 crore through its satellite, music and other rights.
