ICATT through Dr Shalini Nalwad and Dr Rahul Singh took the great initiative to take up a Highly specialized Training program for flying Doctors and paramedics by name FAM-Fellowship in Aeromedical Sciences said, Minister Prashant Reddy
The Minister stated, I am told that… ICATT team have got trained as Specialist Doctors in UK on Air Ambulance services and came back Home to Hyderabad and Banglore to Start Air Ambulance service as efficient as the service is in UK. Last year when Kerala was facing disaster Tufaan… ICATT Team deployed their Helicopter along with their Doctors & Paramedics saved a lot of lives by airlifting from Relief Camps he said.
But in our State Telangana …we hardly expect disaster of floods…..However fact is that… the most of Super Specialty Hospitals are located in Hyderabad city only.
To access critical patients of Road Accidents on high ways and in rural areas to these Super Specialty Hospitals in time is becoming difficult.
Hence I believe strongly that… the Air Ambulance will solve this problem the Minister opined.
