10000 fine for cutting trees

Minister for Finance Harish Rao warned that a fine of Rs 10000 would be imposed for cutting trees. Despite his busy work with the upcoming Budget session.

He took time out to address the meetings in Siddipet as part of Pattana Pragathi. Trees must be grown to the maximum extent possible and they must not be removed or cut at any cost he warned.

If anyone is found cutting trees a fine of Rs10000 will be imposed he said. Harish Rao said that the Government was for developing the districts in all aspects and that they would be done in a phased manner.

He reminded that the Municipal act has the power for removing the officers also if they are involved in corruption. The new revenue act will also bring in a lot of transparency he said.

The people must come forward and participate in all the development activities Harish Rao suggested.
