Even after the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao cautioning the Yadadri Temple Development authority (YTDA) to speed up the works for the temple, the works are yet to take the required speed. This is one of the largest stone construction being taken up in South India.
Temple chief planner Soundrajan says that this is one of its kind and being thought of by Chief Minister of Telangana.
There are rumours that the main contractors have given some of the works to the subcontractors and they are getting delayed.
Sculptors are working day and night in 10 districts across the Telugu states and some Muslim sculptors from Guntur are also involved in the project.
Anand Sai who is an architect is at the helm of affairs supervised by Kishan Rao the officer. Chief Minister has been there to assess the situation and the wanted the officers and in-charges to speed up the works. It looks like the CMO officials who are coordinating the works must look into the ongoing pace of the works and also speed them up to the extent possible to meet the deadlines set up by the Chief Minister.
The concept of the chief Minister KCR is to see that Yadadri is developed like the Tirumala of Telangana. He is personally involved in the Temple development and has several meeting at Pragathi Bhavan for the same. The real estate has got good encouragement due to the development of Yadadri. The pilgrims also have increased from time to time. Mahesh Babu visited the temple recently on the success of BAN. Jeeyar Swamy launched the works with the Chief Minister and the darshan of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is going at Balalayam.
