While ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ is the sequel to ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’, it is only named so because of the genre and not the storyline, which has nothing to do with the previous film.
In fact, the plot for this film is based on the 2016 Malayalam horror comedy ‘Pretham’.
But, while the basic plot point is the same as its Malayalam counterpart, director Ohmkar is said to have brought on major changes to the script.
And with Nagarjuna and Samantha have made the film and its characters their own, it is being well received on the screen.
This is the first time in Telugu cinema that anyone will be seen essaying the role of a mentalist. For those who follow the hit American TV series ‘The Mentalist’, they know this means that Nagarjuna’s character will be able to look into the eyes of a person and make out what they’re thinking and if they’re lying.
Nagarjuna’s character is a walking and talking mind reader/human lie detector, so it will be interesting to see how he will use the skills to solve a supernatural mystery.
Overall the movie is good.
