These days Telangana students are getting good ranks in the National level qualifying examinations.
Purohit who got 2nd rank in NEET is from Telangana and said that he aims to be a neurosurgeon and added that he wants to do his medical education from AIIMS, Delhi.
“I come from a family of doctors and have been preparing to be one from Class 9 and I am happy that I came a step closer to my goal,” said Purohit adding that he used to take part in National Science Olympiad and National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) during school days, but never managed to top of the exams.
Purohit said, “This is the first time I managed to secure top rank in a competitive exam and this is a big victory for me and I am happy that my hard work paid off.”
Bharat V Purohit, Rohan’s father, who is working as head of the department, cardiology at Continental Hospital, said that it is very early to decide specialization and added that all the steams are equally important and interesting.
“There are still 9 years left before he gets to choose his specialization and his interests would be changing from time to time.
