K Taraka Rama Rao the IT Minister today tweeted that Hyderabad has been facing the issue of cash crunch since last three months. He did not agree with the argument of Finance Minister that there was no cash issue and that it would be resolved at the earliest.
KTR tweeted the cash issue with examples. He said that the people were complaining about the same since last several months.
He said that the FM must convene a meeting of the RBI officials and others so that it could be arrested at the earliest.
Don’t brush the issue aside he suggested.
KTR is close to FM and that was the reason he took the liberty to suggest on the improvement cash in the ATMs. Otherwise, people will have no faith in the banking system he opined.
As he stated people are just withdrawing the accounts from SBI. The reason is that SBI is charging the customers left and right in the name of the new software. Some banks are charging for the passbooks, some others are charging for chequebooks. Some others are charging for statements. With no cash in ATMs, customers are forced go to banks. But half of the day is wasted in banks for just giving your 15 g form.
People talk about friendly policing, now it is time for friendly banking. There is no friendly banking now after demonetisation. No bank has sufficient staff. Most of the works are postponed. Online banking is not safe. Some private banks are doing exceedingly well that is a different matter.
